An Exciting New Chapter as

Getting Outdoors Outfitters

To our outdoor family and community,

When we first started this journey, our goal was simple: help you make the most of every adventure, hit the backcountry with confidence, and share our passion for the outdoors. Along the way, so many of you trusted us for your trail navigation setups, route guidance, and gear advice.

We cannot thank you enough for that support—it has shaped who we are today.

As our community has expanded, so has our vision for how we can best serve you. We are excited to announce that we are evolving into Getting Outdoors Outfitters, transforming our platform into a true outdoor adventure hub.

Rather than focusing on screens and hardware, this hub brings our entire lifestyle together under one roof, back to where it all began—combining hands-on field disciplines, curated gear, community events, and unforgettable basecamp experiences.

Here is what this evolution means for you:

  • Sunsetting New Navigation Hardware: We will no longer build or sell new pre-configured navigation tablets or hardware packages.

  • Continued Support for Current Devices: If you already run one of our navigation setups, we’ve got your back. We remain fully committed to supporting your existing devices and will continue to provide software updates, trail data, and technical support so you stay on track out on the trails.

  • A Full Outdoor Adventure Hub: We are expanding our focus across the disciplines we live and breathe—trail riding, camping, hunting, fishing, and clay target shooting. Whether you are looking for field tips, practical knowledge, or community involvement, this hub is built for you.

  • Field Gear: As a licensed outfitter, we will be offering direct access to field-tested gear tailored specifically for camping, fishing,  sporting clays, hunting, and trail riding.

  • Your Adventure Basecamp: The Getaway Trail House remains our premier destination hub—giving you a dedicated mountain basecamp for regional trail riding, weekend getaways, and Appalachian outdoor experiences.

Our roots haven’t changed.

We’re still the same folks who love clean trail rides, ringing steel, clays in the air, and quiet mornings in the woods.

By creating an all-in-one outfitter hub, we can deliver more value, better gear, and deeper community experiences than ever before.

Thank you for riding with us through every turn.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the new

Getting Outdoors Outfitters adventure hub.

See you on the trail,

Mike & Yvonne

Founded in 2009 as Getting Outdoors with Mike and Yvonne, our mission started with a simple passion: sharing our love for the great outdoors, field-testing gear, and helping folks explore with confidence. Over the years, that journey took us down countless trails, onto the shooting range, and even into building custom navigation setups for off-road riders nationwide.

Now, we’re returning to our true roots.

We’ve stepped away from selling navigation hardware to refocus entirely on hands-on outdoor pursuits—evolving into Getting Outdoors Outfitters, a complete outdoor adventure hub. While we continue to fully support our existing navigation customers, our eyes are set on the traditions we live and breathe every day:

We aren't just an outfitter behind a screen; we rely on the exact gear, basecamps, and outdoor disciplines we share with you.

Got questions about our gear, lodging, or community events?
